Who We Are

We are a family of 6 from Perth, Western Australia.  We’ll be flying out of Australia on Christmas Day 2009 to start our travel experience around the world.

When we start this journey Paul will be 42, Amanda 38, Caitlin 12, Georgie 9, Ashlea 7 and Michael 5.  We’ve sold our business, rented our house (would have sold it too had it not been for the “recession”), sold most of our “stuff” and shipped our most prized possessions (the dog & 2 cats) off to Grandma & Grandad’s.

We’re looking forward to uncomplicating our lives, stealing back a year and showing our kids how the rest of the world lives.  Hopefully we’ll all come back with bigger minds and smaller egos.

We’ll endeavour to keep you up to date with our latest adventures and as we have also received enquiries from other families considering a similar trip, we will also try to post some hints and tips.
